PRICHARD, Ala. - Prichard police have identified a suspect in a shooting. They say 24-year-old Andre Antonio Manassa is wanted in connection to the shooting of a father and his 19-month-old daughter.
The shooting happened on November 7, at the intersection of St. Stephens Road and Clarke Avenue. Police say 28-year-old Travis Griggs' car had stalled, and he was waiting for help. They say a gray sedan pulled up and fired several shots at Griggs, who was holding his daughter.
Griggs was taken to Mobile Infirmary Medical Center, where he was treated for minor injuries are released. His daughter is still at USA Children's and Women's Hospital, and is listed in stable condition.
Authorities say Manassa goes by several aliases: De'Andre Williams, Deandre Manassa and Lil D.
A motive still has not been established, and the investigation is still ongoing. Once Manassa has been arrested, he will be charged with first and second degree assault. He's also wanted on an active warrant for first degree possession of marijuana.
Manassa is known to frequent the First Avenue and Victory Avenue areas in Prichard.
