Fire set in store's plumbing section

DESTIN, Fla. (WALA) - A Destin Lowe's employee extinguished a small fire in the plumbing aisle of the store on New Year's Day.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office said they were called to the store around noon on Jan. 1 after a man left a jacket and shirt on fire inside the store and ran out.

The OCSO said a deputy found a white substance near the burning outerwear.

Authorities only said the individual was wearing a blue baseball cap, possibly with the Cookie Monster on it, Khaki pants and a dark belt at the time of the incident.
