Gravine Island teens file for youthful offender status

FOX10 News has learned three teens charged in the April shooting death of Summer Moody have filed for youthful offender status.

A grand jury recently indicted Scott Byrd, Dylan Tyree, and Daniel Parnell for felony murder charges.
This is in connection to the April shooting death of Summer Moody.

Investigators say Moody and the three teens were allegedly burglarizing a fish camp on Gravine Island when Moody was shot in the head by a warning shot. She later died.

Court documents show Byrd, Tyree, and Parnell have filed for youthful offender status. The documents show Parnell and Byrd have a hearing next month. Now word yet on the date for Tyree's hearing.
