JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WALA) - Sheriff's Deputies arrested a woman they said jumped on the hood of a car outside a bar in Jackson County.

Rebecca Bowlin, 30, was arrested by Jackson County Sheriff's Deputies for charges stemming from an Oct. 14 incident. Bowlin was arrested on Oct. 19 and charged with felony malicious mischief.

The JCSO said her charges stem from damage to a 2012 Dodge Avenger. Witnesses told investigators that Bowlin jumped up and down on the hood of the vehicle and struck the windshield. Authorities said she caused over $1,000 in damages.

Bowlin posted her $1,000 bond and was released from the Jackson County Adult Detention Center. She could face five years in prison and a $10,000 fine, if convicted.
