DAPHNE, Ala. - A 17-year-old Daphne boy is recovering after being shot while riding his bicycle. Police say the robber demanded everything the victim had.
It's at the Maple and Pine intersection where police say Larry Woods shot a boy while riding his bike.
Detectives tell FOX10 Woods went up to the boy and demanded everything he had on him. When the teen didn't do it, Woods shot him.
People who live in the Daphmont community say this crime doesn't add up.
Police say as if shooting the boy wasn't enough, the man took the boy's bike. The victim was left in the street until he was taken to the hospital.
As of Thursday evening, The teen is in okay condition.
Lieutenant Jud Beedy says he is not sure why this happened.
"No, we really don't know yet. The victim really doesn't have an explanation for it and we've been trying to find Mr. Woods through our own contacts, and haven't been able to," said Beedy.
