MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - The Mobile Police Department said a man was stabbed to death at an Alta Pointe facility on Tuesday night.

Corporal Chris Levy with MPD said when officers responded, they found 32-year-old Derrick Woods with a stab wound to his abdomen. Mobile Fire-Rescue responded and the victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

Officers were able to arrest 20-year-old Razellius Mills on the scene. Mills has been charged with murder.

The incident happened at an Alta Pointe facility on Country Wood Ct. Levy said there have been several complaints to authorities at the address in the past. The facility is a group home for Alta Pointe patients.

Neighbors with whom we spoke have had concerns with the residents of this group home.

One neighbor told us the residents would frequently walk around the neighborhood and knock on doors asking for cigarettes.

A nearby neighbor said one of the home's residents went through her mail inside her mailbox.

Mobile police say they have received 13 calls this year about the home.

Detectives will continue to investigate the incident. If anyone has information, please call the Mobile Police Department at 208-7211.

John Rogers will have more from Mobile police on FOX10 News at 4 p.m.
