MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Mobile Police arrested two people accused of robbing a bank on Government St., one only an hour after the crime, on Monday.

Police said an officer spotted Justin Goreniak on Claiborne St. and arrested the 36-year-old around 2 p.m. the afternoon of March 18. Timothy Herrington, 38, was arrested later, around 11 p.m., on Monday.

The Mobile Police Department said two robbed the Century Bank on Government Street. Officials said the robbery happened around 1 p.m., when Herrington entered the bank and demanded money from the teller.

The MPD said the teller complied and the subject left, on foot, headed west.

Goreniak was charged with third-degree robbery, and was still in jail Tuesday morning. Police said Herrington was also charged with third-degree robbery.
