MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Mobile Police say they gave a person in custody in relation to a case of a man they said grabbed, in a sexual manner, a woman jogging on the sidewalk.
Police arrested and charged 28-year-old Martell Malone with three counts of first degree sexual abuse.
Police said the assault occurred in the area of Grelot Rd. and Knollwood Dr. around 9 a.m. Saturday.
They said the unknown male suspect approached a female jogging on the sidewalk and grabbed her. They said he was last seen running from the area into a neighborhood before leaving in a black vehicle.
Surveillance video captured him as he ran away from the scene.
Detectives determined Malone approached two other women and touched them in a sexual manner as well.
Malone was profiled on FOX10 News Fugitive Files in October, 2006. At the time, Malone was accused of exposing himself to a woman in a parking lot at the corner of Cottage Hill and University in Mobile. Police say Malone went one step further near the corner of Grelot and Hillcrest Roads. Officer John Young told FOX10, "He actually got out of his vehicle and wasn't wearing any clothes at all besides his shoes. He accosted the female by fondling her and exposed himself to her". Malone did serve time for public lewdness.
