MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - A Mobile man is recovering in the hospital after being shot while riding his bicycle.

The shooting happened on Texas St. around 8 p.m. Saturday night. Police said they know who was involved, but they have yet to make any arrests in it.

Velginia Brown said her boyfriend, 31-year-old Floyd Brock, was moved from intensive care to a room at USA Medical early Sunday morning.

According to Brown, Brock had just left a friend’s apartment and was riding his bicycle home when he was shot.  She said he thinks it stems from something earlier in the day.

"He said that he got a young girl confused with one of his friend girls, and the little girl went back and told her brother some stuff about him, some mess, and they came back and retaliated and shot at him and shot him two times," Brown said.

After he was shot, Brock managed to walk to a nearby convenience store on Broad Street. Another friend saw he needed help.

The store owner said the victim was captured on surveillance cameras. HE described the scene outside as shown on the four cameras around the store.

"He's coming right here. There is the guy. This is not him. Yes, this is the guy; the girl is going to tell them to call the cops. Here you go. He going to drop right there.  She walked in and telling them to call the cops,” he said, “He just lay down by himself, she's  the one who asked them to call 911,  She's going to check on him right now."

The first police officer arrived about five minutes after the victim collapsed on the pavement in front of the store.  Within minutes several more cars show up.

“We don't know what's going on, but we would like to find out what happened,  and who did this to him, because we would like justice,” Brown said.
