MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Police said a man was shot and killed outside a fast food restaurant in Mobile Sunday night on Dauphin Street, near Interstate 65.

There have been no reports of an arrest in the Dec. 2 shooting, and homicide detectives are investigating. The victim's name has not been released yet.

Witnesses said there were customers inside the restaurant at the time of the shooting.

Sunday morning, a lone Mobile police cruiser sat outside of a Taco Bell on Dauphin Street. Nearby, there was paint marked and blood splattered where a man lost his life.

At around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, Mobile police responded to the scene after a report of a fired gunshot. A witness said there was a crowd of people at the restaurant.

The unidentified witness said, "There was a bunch of people around. There was three or four cars in the drive-thru and people inside the restaurant and everything."

Police say a man outside had been shot. The witness says he was still inside his silver car.

"It looked like [the car] came out of the drive-thru, through the bushes, and it liked stopped at a tree, in front of a tree,” said the witness.

The witness tells us that first responders had to pull the victim out of the car.

Authorities said homicide detectives will continue the investigation.  If anyone has information about the incident, please call the Mobile Police Department at 208-7211.
