PENSACOLA, Fla. (WALA) - Pensacola police are investigating a late-night incident that left two men who were sitting on a home's porch with blunt force trauma injuries.

Authorities said the men were sitting outside a home on East Fisher Street at around 11:50 p.m. when they said three or four males approached them from beside the residence.

The PPD said the 25-year-old man told them he and another 29-year-old man heard a gunshot and then were struck in the head by a blunt object. The 29-year-old may have been grazed by a bullet on the chin. A 38-year-old woman who was also on the porch tried to run when she heard the gunfire, but she fell off of it.

She told police the suspects threatened that, if she moved, they would kill her.

Police said the suspects fled the scene and the two male victims were taken to the hospital for treatment. The 29-year-old has been released.

Police have not released a description of the suspects and said a motive remains unknown.

The PPD has asked anyone with information on the incident to call them at 435-1900.
