MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - A "senseless" killing

A Mobile Police homicide investigator was back on the scene of a deadly shooting on Racine Avenue, less than 48 hours after Fisher, 40, was gunned down Saturday.

Police said Fisher was shot across the street from her home in broad daylight, where she was standing with her dog Saturday evening.

Corporal Chris Levy said when Fisher called for a passing car to slow down, a man got out of the car armed with a gun.

"They were outside and there was some sort of altercation because she wants them to slow down," said Cpl. Levy. "A passenger got out of the car and started shooting."

Fisher was shot in the chest and she died from her wounds at USA Medical Center.

Her alleged killers drove off.

Residents who wished to remain anonymous said the quiet neighborhood usually has very little crime.

Now, it has been tainted by a very violent one.

No leads yet

Preliminary investigation reveals the three or four black male suspects' vehicle was a four-door sedan, either a Honda Civic or similar car, with dark tint.

Levy said the department is following up on leads. Police aren't sure if the suspects are familiar with the area or were just cutting through the neighborhood which lies directly between Overlook and Moffett Roads.

Police said the public could help crack this case.

"Someone in the area, maybe at the time didn't realize that they saw the vehicle," said Levy. "A lot of time people don't realize you saw the vehicle until you get a little sleep and it triggers the information."

Mobile Police ask if anyone has information about this incident, please call the Mobile Police Department at 208-7211, Crime Stoppers at 208-7000 or text to CRIMES (274637) and include the keyword CRIME 411.
