Police look into Pensacola's fourth homicide this year

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WALA) - Pensacola Police said they've found the city's fourth homicide victim this year shot to death in a vacant lot.

Lt. Doug Baldwin said the man was identified as Thomas Mitchell, 27. His body was found in a vacant lot near the intersection of Tarragona and Hernandez streets.

Police said they received calls about the shooting May 6 around 10 p.m. but were unable to save the victim; he died at the scene.

Pensacola Police are asking anyone with information on the shooting to contact the department’s Criminal Investigations Division at 435 – 1965 or the Pensacola Police Department at 435 – 1900.
