PENSACOLA, Fla. (WALA) - Bullets were flying in Pensacola Tuesday night. Police said there were two drive-by shootings targeting two teenagers.

It started around 8 p.m. Tuesday night. Captain David Alexander with the Pensacola Police Department said a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old were standing on that corner of Sixth Avenue and Desoto.

"A red or maroon four door car pulled up, and someone pointed a gun put the window and a single shot was fired,” said Alexander.

Alexander said the 15-year-old was hit in the leg but the night wasn’t over yet.

A few hours later, right around the corner on East Strong Street, police were on the scene again for another report of shots fired.

Paulette Reynolds was sleeping when it happened.

"Gunshots woke us up, and somebody was driving by shooting at the house," said Reynolds.

Reynolds said several shots were fired.

"One bullet went inside the front bedroom," said Reynolds.

Another bullet ricocheted off a car parked out front and hit the top of the house.

According to Reynolds and police, the 14-year-old from the earlier shooting was staying at the house.

"(The shooting) certainly wasn't a random thing. I think there was a motive behind it. But what the motive was, we’re not sure," said Alexander.

Although the teen is no longer staying with Reynolds, she is still in fear.

"Thank God none of the kids were here. That’s scary. I don't know; I'm still nervous. I really don't believe that’s over,” said Reynolds.

If you have any information, please call the Pensacola Police Department at 850-435-1845.
