PENSACOLA, Fla. (WALA) - Pensacola police said two men were injured in two separate shooting incidents Sunday morning.
Pensacola Police, along with the Gun Crime Response team, are trying to determine if the two crimes are related.
The first incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 7 on East Blount Street.
PPD Officer Pat Bradley said two men wearing masks kicked in the back door, entered a home and tried to rob a 26-year-old man inside. When the victim resisted, he was struck in the head.
Bradley said the victim managed to run outside and when he did, several shots were fired at him but missed.
Later, around 11 a.m., three males were walking down the street on East Cross St. when they saw a car approach. The men ran up to a house, according to authorities.
Sgt. Stephen Bauer said multiple shots were fired at the men as they ran toward a house; one of the bullets struck an 18-year-old in the head. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Anyone with information on the incidents is asked to contact the Pensacola Police Department at 435-1900.
