Felicia Lee, the mother of accused murder suspect Michael Lee, has been denied bond. She is facing two counts of intimidating a witness in the Kyser Miree murder case.
Michael, is one of four suspects charged with killing Miree in April. Lee, along with Jamal Lang, Bo Taylor, and Earnest Wiggins, is facing a capital murder charge.
Judge Charles McKnight denied Felicia Lee's bond Thursday. A preliminary hearing has been set for September 9. At that time, a judge will decide if there is enough probable cause to send the case to the grand jury.
The Mobile County district attorney's office said Felicia Lee threatened to kill a witness in her son's murder trial. Assistant District Attorney Ashley Rich said one of the incidents happened right after a preliminary hearing for Michael.
Felicia Lee is represented by Sid Harrell.
Lee's family said the allegations against her are not true.
