PRICHARD, Ala. (WALA) - Wendy Baria's last night at work was quite unforgettable.

She was at the Prichard Restaurant, the Golden Egg, on June 21 when it was robbed by two suspects at gunpoint.

Baria and a cook were working at 5 a.m. last Thursday at the Golden Egg when the two men rushed in.

She said, "I see these two guys coming up on the side of the building. They were dressed in black hoodies and when I looked out the window at them, they looked in the window, and they had a white thing across their face."

Baria says the men held her and the other woman at gunpoint at gunpoint.

She said, "He snatched me up and took me to the register and he had the gun to my back and kept telling me that if I didn't open it, that he was gonna shoot me."

Baria says the robbers stole money and her purse.

"I though they was gonna shoot us,” said Baria.

Prichard police responded to the crime, but the news was not released to the public.

Police Chief Jimmie Gardner confirmed the story, and said the store owner requested that the news not be shared.

The Golden Egg's owner was not available for comment.

Baria is no longer employed at the Golden Egg, but she felt it was important to tell everyone.

Baria said, "It's not just the Golden Egg. All of the people that are out there working, trying to make a living and things like this happen to them, how you gonna catch 'em if you don't put the word out?"

"If they'll do it once, they'll do it again,” she added.

If you have any information on this crime, call Prichard police.
