Robbery suspect used stun gun to escape

D'IBERVILLE, Miss. (WALA) - D'Iberville Police are searching for a woman wanted for a robbery by assault at the Wal-Mart on Sangani Boulevard.

Police said they received the shoplifring complaint around 9 p.m, but the suspect had already escaped by shocking an employee with a stun gun that she drew from her clothing.

The alleged assault occured as the woman attempted to exit the store and Asset Protection employees tried to apprehend her.

Lieutenant Terry Hines with DPD described the suspect as a black female with a dark complexion. She was wearing a red tank top with bright, multicolored shorts and what appears to be a black wrap on her head. He said she was about 5 feet four inches tall and heavy set.

Hines said the suspect fled in a dark colored SUV  believed to be a GMC Yukon or Chevrolet Blazer. The driver side front rim is black and the others are silver or chrome.
