SARALAND, Ala. (WALA) - Saraland police arrested two suspects over the weekend who they said had prescription narcotics but no prescription to go along with them.
Police said Brandon Causey of Saraland and Reginald Franklin of Mobile were both arrested on controlled substance possession charges on May 5.
According to police, Causey, 24, had misdemeanor warrants issued by a Saraland Municipal Court. When police stopped him in traffic, they found that he had several Methadone pills, a prescription narcotic for which he couldn't provide a prescription.
That same day, in a separate incident, police said they received a call about a person selling drugs on Saraland Blvd.
When they arrived at the scene and approached Reginald Franklin, 30, they said Franklin attempted to eat the Lortab pills he allegedly had in his possession.
Causey is still in Mobile Metro Jail and Franklin has since bonded out.
