Teen arrested for robbing classmate

Another teen charged for assisting with robbery

CHICKASAW, Alabama (WALA) - Chickasaw police say one teen has been arrested for robbing a classmate. They also say another teen was arrested for assisting in the hold up.

Police say the robbery happened Tuesday, September 7 around 3 p.m. on West Lee Street, behind the Shell station.

Investigation revealed 16-year-old Dominick Moore was supposed to meet with the victim and make a trade: an XBOX 360 for an iPhone. Officials say 17-year-old Jonathon Luckett was with Moore.

The suspects met the victim in the alley behind the station. Police say Moore pulled a gun on the victim and told him to "give it up". The two searched the victim's pockets, and took $20 and the iPhone. Moore and Luckett then fled the scene.

The victim called police, and Moore was found within the hour. Poliec also found a small bag of marijuana on him. He is charged with first degree robbery and second degree possession of marijuana.

Luckett was arrested later Tuesday night. He is charged with first degree robbery.

The weapon used in the robbery was also recovered. It is not clear who actually owned the gun at this time.
