PENSACOLA, Fla. (WALA) - According to reports, three teenagers accused of burglarizing a home were foiled by some nosy neighbors in Pensacola. The suspects have been arrested, and the homeowner said he didn’t lose a thing.

JUST MOVED IN AND BURGLARIZED

Loren Fox said he just bought his home last Friday on Tempest drive in Pensacola and had not yet had a chance to meet a single one of his neighbors. But when three suspicious kids were nosing around his home Monday afternoon, he said his neighbors noticed.

“I was driving to work and my realtor called. We still had the sign up, and I got here as quick as I could, and the police were here. The crime scene was here, and they were really quick and efficient and went after these guys,” Fox said.

Fox’s side door had been kicked and some electronics had been removed, but the neighbors likely saved his stuff.

Fox said when neighbors spooked the teens, they set down his TV and PlayStation in the carport, a place where they could have come back for it later.

NEIGHBORS KEPT WATCHING

According to reports, the boys did come back, and neighbors spotted them.

Police arrested a 14-year-old and two 15-year-old twins, and they were booked for burglary thanks to the help of neighbors like Cindy Goodale.

“Whatever we’ve got to do, we’re going to stop it by everybody bonding together and watching,” Goodale told us. “What we don’t see as right, we’re going to call 911 immediately.”

“I hadn’t even met them. They all came to me and introduced themselves and said they were looking out,” Fox told us. “It’s a good neighborhood. It’s just too bad things were happening in it.”

FACING FELONY CHARGES

All three juvenile suspects have been charged with larceny, criminal mischief, burglary and resisting arrest.
