FOLEY, Ala. - Foley police say a man who was allegedly beaten and robbed has cried foul. They say he wasn't completely honest with his police report.

The initial call came in to police on November 19. The victim said he had loaned $5 to a woman for gas. When he left his workplace, the woman called him over to her van.

The victim said he walked over to the van, described as a blue full-sized conversion van. He said that's when a man came around the corner, hit him, and took money out of his wallet. The victim was treated and released from Baldwin Regional Medical Center.

Orange Beach police found the van some time later. Foley police were brought in, and the man and woman were questioned. They both admitted they were involved in the robbery.

Kayla Norris, 20, and Michael McNeil, 44, were both arrested and charged with one count of second degree robbery each.

During Norris' confession, she told police she had met with the victim earlier, and he had paid her for sex. When Norris and the victim met again, that's when she and McNeil assaulted the victim.

On the scene of the original robbery the victim, Jimmy Lee Rickles, told police he had not been honest with them. He said some of the statements he had made were false. He's charged with giving a false statement, which is a misdemeanor.
