ELBERTA, Ala. - Elberta Police say they have now cleared almost two dozen cases with just two arrests, the investigation isn't over yet.

It is at a home on Stuki Road in Elberta where detectives say they caught Angela Gardner and Donald King red handed.

They found Gardner coming out the front door and King hiding in a closet. Investigators say both were stealing.

Police thought they were only dealing with one case. But officers tell us they found more stolen property in the duo's possession.

Investigators have now cleared 20 cases as a result.

"Point of fact, when we were looking through items we found when we caught them, there was a shopping list. They were actually going to different stores and steal things with that shopping list," said Chief Mickey Pledger.

Computers and ATV's were just a few of the items recovered.

Police say the two are still sitting in jail on the old charges and now they are facing new ones.

"As we processed the serial numbers, we tied those to other burglaries in other jurisidictions."
