MOBILE, Ala. - UPDATE: One of the cars taken in two Tuesday night carjackings has been recovered.
Shortly before midnight, Prichard police spotted the car stolen from Carre Drive. They chased the suspect on North Joseph Avenue, but the suspect was able to jump out of the car and get away.
Tuesday, 9:07 p.m. Two separate carjackings happen in Mobile Tuesday evening, and the suspects are still on the run.
The first carjacking happened on Carre Drive, that's near Moffett and Wolf Ridge, around 7:30 Tuesday evening. Police say someone shot a man in his leg and then took his car.
Police say they are looking for a teenager who is armed with a nine millimeter.
Shortly after that crime, there was another carjacking at the Chateau Oaks Apartments on Springhill Avenue.
