FOLEY, Ala. (WALA) - Baldwin County Sheriff's Office said a man is in the hospital after he was shot in the head by a woman they believe to be his significant other early Saturday.

Lisa Williams, 48, is charged with first-degree domestic violence after deputies say she shot Drew Lorup one time in the head around 1 a.m. Saturday.

Investigators say Williams told them the shooting was in self-defense, but that evidence does not support her claim that Lorup assaulted her before she shot him.

Lorup was lifeflighted to USA Medical Center from McDuffie Road in Foley but his condition is unknown.
