MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Jurors have found Anthony Hopkins guilty on all counts. These counts include murder, rape, sodomy, incest and sexual abuse. Hopkins is accused of killing his wife Arletha, then keeping her body in a freezer for almost four years.

The state began Friday by calling Arletha's personal doctor to the stand again after the defense said the autopsy doctor could not determine an exact cause or manner of death.

The defense said it was possible Arletha could have died of natural causes or from blood sugar disorders caused by her pregnancy.

The state wanted to reiterate the fact that Arletha did have diabetes, but it was only gestational, which means it was caused by her pregnancy.

The pastor of a church in Jackson, Ala. was called to the stand. She said Anthony told the congregation he had spoken to his oldest daughter that morning, and asked her to forgive him for everything he had done in the past, present, and future.

The pastor testified two officers came into the church after the sermon with guns drawn. she said they walked up to Anthony and told him he was under arrest.

The children were taken downtown to the jailhouse as well.

Sergeant Ron Baker is the Clarke County Sheriff's Department's Chief Investigator of the Criminal Investigation Unit. He was the next to testify.

He said he noticed Anthony in the front of the church. He said he had a microphone on, and a circle of children around him.

Sgt. Baker said as he put the handcuffs on Hopkins, he asked what it was all about at least four or five times. Baker added Hopkins kept asking to speak with his oldest daughter.

Baker said Hopkins' demeanor was shaky and nervous.

The defense asked the judge to dismiss the case, which was denied.

Hopkins could face life in prison. His sentencing date is set for May 6.
