MOBILE, Alabama (WALA) - It's been more than a month since Kyser Miree was shot and killed in his home in midtown Mobile. There are still unanswered questions, and no suspects have been named.

"Kyser Miree was recently murdered while at home in his house in on Macy Place in midtown Mobile, by an intruder who shot him in the head," said Kyser's dad Ben.

Ben Miree and his son Harry Miree put together a recording hoping to get some answers in the murder of their son and brother Kyser. Kyser was shot Friday April 16 and his family just wants closure. Ben Miree begged for help.

"As our family faces the prospect of a life without our 23-year-old son and brother we make this plea for your help," said Miree.

Harry Miree talks about the reward being offered to lead to his brothers killer.

"Kyser's friends and family have posted a $25,000 reward in hopes that someone with knowledge comes forward," said Harry Miree.

Those with Mobile Police say the family is just trying to make sure people don't forget the crime, especially if it leads to an arrest.

"The point that we're at right now is that had someone done the right thing before now we wouldn't be here so we're done asking. Now we're telling people you can get paid. You help identify a suspect, and there is an arrest or conviction, you get paid," said Officer Chris Levy.

Levy said the investigation is ongoing and Mobile Police are following up on leads.
