PENSACOLA, Fla. - It's the first time in several years the weather looks like it will be nice. Last labor day weekend, Hurricane gustav brought in 25 foot waves. This year it looks like it will be nice and sunny.
Kathi Day runs a beach shop, she said, "For the past few years, we had hurricanes or threats of hurricanes, first year we've had hopefully great weather and hopefully a lot of people out here having a great time."
The Dock Restaurant and Bar is also seeing business boom. They say this will be the 4th largest weekend all year and the sunshine is just a bonus.
Manager Bruce Parris said, "Expecting big crowds, last weekend of summer. One thing you can't control is the weather, we're always prepared for big crowds, the weather seems to control that. "
Pensacola Beach will be jam packed with Labor Day weekend festivities. To view the full schedule click here.
