Toddler found wandering in Orlando mall

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Authorities are searching for the parents of a 2-year-old girl found wandering around an Orlando mall alone.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office says the girl, named Emarie, was located at the Florida Mall on Wednesday night by a couple visiting from Georgia. The couple notified mall security, who attempted to find the parents. When they couldn't, they alerted the
sheriff's office.

Investigators have not been able to find the parents of the girl. Deputies say she asked for her father but has been unable to provide investigators with any more information that could lead to her parents.

The girl has been placed in the custody of the Department of Children and Families.
