Early voting over, high turnout expected

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WALA) - Officials and candidate supporters in Escambia County, Florida are already preparing for a busy day on Tuesday, Nov. 6.

Polls will open in the county for the general election at 7 a.m. and officials are expecting crowds to start forming early.

David Stafford, Supervisor of Elections for Escambia County, says more than 40,000 people turned out during last week for early voting. He said that will take a hit out of the number voting tomorrow, but it will still be high.

Republican and Democratic rally supporters are also preparing for a long election day.
