ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WALA) - Escambia County isn't fooling around when it comes to collecting your property taxes.

Real estate and tangible personal property taxes are delinquent as of April 1.

According to the tax collector's office $32.5 million, or about 13 percent, of taxes are unpaid as of March 27.

Since the deadline is during the weekend the office will accept payments without penalty April 2, in person only.

Aside from that exception, after the deadline, penalties will be applied at 3 percent for real estate and 1.5 percent for tangible property.

There are options still available for your last-minute payments:

  • Pay on the Tax Collector's Website
  • Call the after hours automated phone system (800) 601-1055.
  • Pay in person Monday, April 2 at the Tax Collector's office
