Girl allegedly raped in Milton church

MILTON, Fla. (WALA) - Nathanial Baldwin, 25, has been arrested and faces a felony charge for raping a minor. The alleged victim told deputies Baldwin raped her twice. She said the first time happened at Milton First Assembly of God.

Deputies say the first of two attacks happened on January 20 just before Wednesday night church service at Milton First Assembly of God. According to the alleged victim, Nathanial Baldwin met her as she came out of the restroom, took her into a dark room, and sexually assaulted her.

The alleged victim also told deputies Baldwin attacked her again the next day, January 21 at his home.

The alleged crimes were never reported until a deputy was called to Milton High School to photograph scratch marks and abrasions on the alleged victim's upper body. According to the police report, a friend of the alleged victim brought the issue to the attention of a Milton High School employee. An investigator was called in to find out more about the allegations.

Baldwin was arrested Tuesday of this week. According to the arrest report, Baldwin admitted that both sexual encounters did happen, but he claims they were consensual. He also told deputies he and the girl were dating.
