MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - BP wants the nation ot know about the progress they've made since the 2010 Gulf Oil Spill. The oil giant is launching a new nationwide television advertising campaign.
“We are proud of the progress that has been made this year along the Gulf Coast but we know our work is not yet done. We are committed to seeing it through and providing updates to the public along the way,” Morrell said.
The new campaign is similar to their first, "Voices of BP." New Orleans native Iris Crossreports on BP's progress. She's a 29 year veteran of the company who manages external affairs in Louisiana.
In the ad, Cross reminds viewers ofthe $20 billion fund BP established for economic and environmental recovery.

That $20 billion fund will be reviewed by an indifferent auditor. Alabama Congressman Jo Bonner's office announced Wednesday, December 21, BDO Consulting in New York and Houston will conduct an independent audit.
They will be looking for any errors that may have occurred as claims were being processed by the Gulf Coast claims Facility. Kenneth Feinberg has been leading the GCCF's handling of the $20 billion.
The GCCF has handled more than a million claims and paid out more than $6 billion in damages.
BP's new campaign will be broadcast through social media channels, including YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. It begins on Monday, December 26.
