The Service Center of Catholic Social Services has been providing emergency assistance in south Mobile County for those affected by the oil since May, 2010. Case Managers go to Bayou La Batre on a regular basis and meet clients at St. Margaret’s Parish to assess their needs. Due to the financial generosity of Catholic Charities, Archdiocese of Mobile, Catholic Charities USA, People for the Gulf, and the Community Foundation of South Alabama, we are able to work with families during this difficult time until they are able to return to gainful employment.
