Law firm files five class action suits

MOBILE, Alabama (WALA) - Cunningham Bounds, LLC announces it has filed five class action complaints on behalf of various groups that have been damaged as a result of the explosion of the Deepwater Horizon and the oil spill currently in the Gulf of Mexico. It is currently estimated that the well is leaking oil at a rate of approximately 210,000 gallons a day.

Officials now know that the leak is five times worse than originally estimated. Crews working with submersible robots have tried to trigger the oil rig’s shut-off device but have had no success. A map released by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration indicates that the impact of the spill will hit Alabama coasts on Sunday. However, scattered tarballs may impact shorelines before Sunday.
