GULF SHORES, Alabama (WALA) - The city of Gulf Shores is gearing up for spring break.
Beach patrols have been ramped up, lifeguards have returned to duty, and you once again have to pay to park at the public beach.
It's the start of perhaps the most important beach season ever. Last year's oil spill left the beach economy reeling and many businesses are in need of a big season.
Rental companies say so far bookings are good and they're expecting a strong spring break.
