I-10 in Florida back open after accident

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WALA) - Update: 8:33 a.m. - Authorities have opened up all lanes on Interstate 10.

7:28 a.m. - Authorities have opened one lane westbound on Interstate 10 at mile marker 68 near the Okaloosa County and Walton County line.

7:10 a.m. - The Okaloosa Sheriff's office says both lanes of Interstate 10 had to be shut down around 6:45 Wednesday morning, February 27, 2013 because of an accident. The accident is at mile marker 68 between the Deerland and Mossy Head communities.

A medical helicopter had to be brought in for at least one of the victims.  Other emergency personnel were also called to the scene, including sheriff's officials, Florida Highway Patrol and EMS.
