Is it hot outside?

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Hopefully you all stayed inside on Friday because it was a scorcher out there.

But Fox10 News wanted to find out just how hot it really was.

A team was sent to Mobile's municipal park.

People were certainly complaining about the heat.

"It is steamy! God the humidity! It's just unbearable," says one visitor from California.

Folks were finding any way they could to cool off. Such as hiding in the shade, drinking water or sitting in the car.

"No harm in sweatin," says one man. "You gotta get out sometime and sweat."

At one point, an ice cream truck came to save the day.

Fox10 News even attempted to cook an egg on the sidewalk. After 30 minutes, the egg did not cook, but folks at the park felt Mother Nature still proved her point.
