Taste a rare moon on New Year's Eve

MOBILE, Ala. - Councilman Fred Richardson and Mobile Convention Center General Manager Bob Brazier will meet Wednesday to unveil Chattanooga Bakery's 60lb blue moonpie, dubbed among the largest in the country.

The edible moonpie will be served to ball goers attending the city’s first New Year’s Eve ball, featuring the moonpie. The ball will be held in the city’s waterfront Arthur Outlaw Mobile Convention Center.

Richardson and Brazier will unveil the edible moonpie at 2 p.m. Wednesday on the second level of the Mobile Convention Center.
