BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WALA) - Bay Minette Public School System spokesperson Terry Whilhite said Bay Minette police arrested six students before the school day at Baldwin County High School, Wednesday, February 13.
According to school officials, the students were involved in a fight near the buses around 7:30 a.m. Wilhite said one sophomore boy, three freshmen boys; one junior girl and one freshman girl were arrested.
According to officials, it appears the fight stemmed over a disagreement off-campus that was brought to the school.
Wilhite said the school resource officer was on campus when the fight occurred and took the students into custody.
He said the exact charges are not known at his time. He said, however, the school system will also take disciplinary actions.
“It appears there is a small group of repeat fighters who are committed to giving a great school a bad name. Their actions will not be tolerated. They face police charges plus disciplinary action by the school system,” Wilhite said.
