BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WALA) - FOX10 has obtained the 911 calls made from Gravine Island, the night authorities said 17-year old Summer Moody was accidentally hit by a warning shot.

In the phone calls, Larry Duncan, William Hearn, and Lonnie Davison are heard speaking  with authorities as they rush the injured teen to land.

An investigation revealed Moody was shot accidentally when the three men confronted a group of teens on the Island. They claim the teens, who were later identified to be Moody's friends, were burglarizing fish camps.

Authorities said Larry Duncan Jr. and William Hearn, both convicted felons, fired the warning shots; one of which hit Moody, who was hiding behind a bush.

The three teens involved, Scott Byrd, Dylan Tyree, and Daniel Parnell were charged with felony murder, even though they didn’t fire the shot.

All three have since been granted youthful offender status.

The armed men, however, have not been charged for illegally possessing firearms.

Tonight on FOX10 News at 9 p.m., hear the exclusive 911 calls from Gravine Island.
