Tax holiday to allow for severe weather preparedness

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WALA) - Baldwin County is preparing for another tax-free holiday for those who want to prepare for hurricanes and other severe weather.

The holiday will begin on Friday, Feb. 22 and last until Sunday, Feb. 24. During this time, certain items will be exempt from sales and use tax.

Exempt items include those that citizens need to help them be prepared for any type of severe weather. These include batteries, tarps, artificial ice and much more.
