DAPHNE, Ala. (WALA) - A traffic accident Tuesday near the intersection of U.S. Hwy 98 and Daphne Ave. took the life of 60-year-old Brenda Morris Johnson of Montrose. Daphne Police are investigating.

According to the department, the initial investigation suggests that Johnson was exiting the parking lot of Target when her car was struck by another vehicle traveling north on Hwy. 98. After impact, Ms. Johnson’s vehicle traveled to the parking lot of Dixie Cleaners and came to a rest next to their building.

The driver of the second vehicle was transported to Thomas Hospital and is being treated.
