Delta Elementary principal dies

BAY MINETTE, Ala. - The principal of Delta Elementary school in Bay Minette passed away Tuesday.
Leah Ann Overstreet,44, died from complications of the flu and pneumonia.
Overstreet had hospitalized at Mobile Infirmary.

A family member says test results last Friday revealed Overstreet had tested positive for swine flu.

Baldwin County school officials say Overstreet had worked in the Baldwin County school system since 1996.  She had been Principal at Delta Elementary since July of 2004. Extra counselors will be at Delta Elementary Wednesday to help students and staff who are grieving.

Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Overstreet have not been finalized. Fox10 News will let you know when they are.
