Family says victim was a 'good man'

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WALA) - The family of a local biker who authorities say was found murdered in Baldwin County spoke to FOX10 News.

The wife of 54-year-old Samuel Dixson was surrounded by family and friends at their Milton home Thursday night for a prayer vigil.

Analyn Dixson said she last heard from her husband on Friday, who was headed to a weekend biker rally at a mobile-home in the Styx River area.

She said the home was a regular meeting place for her husband's biker gang, known as the "Devils Disciples."

Family members said they were devastated to learn that Dixson had allegedly been killed by two of his own gang members.

"He is a good man," said Analyn. "He is a very kind person, a funny person."

"There's a lot of people out there that think biker club -- biker gang, that it's bad," said Samuel's brother-in-law, George Armstrong. "It's not true. They live two lives. (The biker gang is) one side of their lives. They're good husbands, friends, family. That man would have given you the shirt off his back."

Analyn said she does not recognize the two men arrested for the crime Thursday morning.

Tuscaloosa authorities arrested Adam Mayton and Fred Weisstwo, both members of the 'Devils Disiples.'

Analyn believes they were visiting from out-of-town for the rally.

She said she and her husband have been married for nearly 10 years.

Authorities are still working on a motive for the murder.
