PERDIDO KEY, Fla. (WALA) - The Flora-Bama was a hotspot for Powerball players on Wednesday, Nov. 28. The local restaurant and bar is usually the first stop for Alabamians but Candice Blake with the Flora-Bama said then massive jackpot drew people from all over.
“It has really been steady all day long and people are coming from everywhere imaginable to get these tickets," said Blake.
They were all looking to cash in on the record Powerball. Roy White said the Flora-Bama is the place to win.
“Definitely my lucky spot, because every time I won anything big prizes I won it here," said White.
White said last big win was more than $100,000.
Whether they were picking their own numbers or letting the system do the work, they were all dreaming of a big fortune.
