FAIRHOPE, Ala. (WALA) - Fairhope police are investigating after they said a female was cut near her eye Tuesday, March 5, at a known hangout hall along Young Street.

Police said the female victim and a man got into an altercation at the hall, known simply by locals as Charlie’s.

According to reports, a man pulled out a knife and cut the victim near her left eye; closer to the temple.

The victim's grandmother told FOX10 her granddaughter needed four stitches. She said the knife nearly cut a vain in her granddaughter's temple.

Police said no arrest have been made, but they do have a suspect in mind.

The crime is prompting locals to get the hangout hotspot shutdown.

If you have any information about the crime, contact the Fairhope Police Department.
