Baldwin County leaders say Ida didn't do any serious harm in their neck of the woods.

However, double red flags continue to fly in Gulf Shores. They're a reminder that storm season goes through November.

"This is a late storm right before Thanksgiving, and we don't particularly care for these, but we are thankful it wasn't worse than what it was," said Lynda Godwin.

Early Tuesday morning, there was flooding down some streets, including Fort Morgan Road. Crews closed it off late Monday night, leaving some to think Mother Nature really does have a mind of her own.

"Yeah, I guess she does. Take a look at her, she is doing her thing," said Perry Guy.

Tuesday there was a wind problem with Tropical Storm Ida. Monday night there was wind, plus rain.

Gulf Shores is not considered the Windy City, but some say it felt like it Tuesday morning.

"I came over and it 'bout knock me down. Over there, I could stand and waves were still coming this way," said Tammy Brewer.

Garbage cans could not stand against Ida, but much of everything else could.

"This is not very much, compared to what we have had in the past," said Tom Godwin.

That's good news, after an unexpected storm.
