LOXLEY, Ala. (WALA) - The Loxley Volunteer Fire Department has a little help in keeping people safe thanks to a grant from the Monsanto Fund.

The department plans to use the $14,500 grant from the philanthropic arm of the Monsanto company to buy rugged terrain vehicles.

Officials say the vehicles will help them respond to emergencies in hard to reach areas that larger trucks cannot access as easily.
