New grocer brings new jobs to Daphne

DAPHNE, Ala. (WALA) - There is a new opportunity for South Alabama jobseekers in South Alabama. The Fresh Market is opening a store in Daphne.

The new store will bring 80-90 jobs to the area, almost all of which will be filled locally.

Jobs available include:

• Assistant Deli Manager
• Assistant Front End Manager
• Assistant Grocery Specialist
• Assistant Produce Manager
• Baker - Bulk Specialist
• Candy/Coffee Specialist
• Cheese Specialist
• Gift/Floral Specialist
• Grocery Specialist
• Meat Cutter
• Seafood Specialist

Three local workforce offices are also holding an Application Day on Friday, October 5 to help candidates sumbit their resumes online. Those offices are Foley Career Center, Bay Minette Career Center and the Mobile Career Center.

Candidates do need to apply online prior to attending the event for an interview. Interviews will be conducted at a Career Open House on Tuesday, October 9 from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the Battle House Renaissance Hotel & Spa.
